As they say, if give a fish, you give a meal, but if you give fishing lessons, you feed a person for a lifetime. The only trouble with the metaphor is that sometimes the teachers fail to give their students their own fishing rod. In the same way, we believe that there are appropriate moments to give useful tools to strategic workers who do not have easy access to such resource. At HIS1040 we have created a program called HIS Tools to provide necessary equipment to indigenous servant to increase their efficiency and capabilities. Our partners identify the greatest needs in the lives of their ministry co-laborer and we try to match those needs with enabled donors who can thus accelerate the work of faithful indigenous missionaries. Through the HIS Tools program there has been distribution of much needed bicycles, lap tops, data projectors and four wheel vehicles. This enables workers to do more and go farther, reaching new people groups and starting new outreaches. |
